Not cool to speak negatively of a guy who had the integrity to walk away from college football for health and family reasons, only to be miraculously free from those issues one season later.
Last night on sports center, the informal first BCS rankings didn't even have tOSU in the top 5. Michigan blowing it against unranked Penn State may be the nail in tOSUs coffin. Michigan might not even be ranked by the end of today.
Not to start needless conversation about Utah, but if you're a PAC 12 fan aren't you pissed that Utah is in the conference right now? Not good enough to make any national noise, not a winning PAC 12 program, but good enough to knock off a team that could help your conference?
"Sure, I fought. I had to fight all my life just to survive. They were all against me. Tried every dirty trick to cut me down, but I beat the bastards and left them in the ditch."

Plus, he's such a family oriented individual. He has that cute little contract with his daughter that he has to live up to.
He came here last night not to congratulate BYU but to see what, if anything, was being said about the Stanford game. Finding nothing, he posts his usual double agent jibba jabba about Georgia tech. Since he can't seem to help himself, he came back this morning again to see what, if anything, is being said about the Stanford game. Finding the alleged negativity he was seeking since last night, he is finally able to express himself in the way that most have all come to know and to love. Someone will receive a PM today about this, I'm sure. Just not sure whom.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.
What is funny about this? Utah winning was bad for the conference. Great for the Utes of course, but horrible for the conference including Oregon and Ucla.
This loss was a big hit to Oregons national title hopes.

Really great for Whittingham. That win bought him more time.

If the Utes finish a third straight season with a losing conference record, Whittingham will still be on the hot seat and the heat will be going up.

This is a Mountain West Conference mentality, as Babs has pointed out. The Pac 12 is the best conference because Oregon could have scored 100 against Tennessee had it not called off the dogs, but Oregon could lose to Stanford, UCLA, Utah or Oregon State, and probably will lose to one of them. Every game is a war. How often is the National Champion undefeated?
When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

How often has a one loss pac-12 team made the NC game?
Since 2000, 8 national champs have been undefeated. You lose again.

lol like I said. An MWC mentality. Nobody is saying this in pac 12 country; no Pac 12 fan would consider that her program needs to coattail Oregon. What a pathetic loser's attitude. But MWC mentality is ingrained in BYU culture, which is why we are where we are and you are where you are.

Why don't you go back to your board and continue to worry about scraping together enough wins to make a bowl game, finding your teams games on directv and where to place your newest pac12 bumper sticker.
We will worry about playing a national schedule, being on espn every week, building a global brand, and playing at great venues across the country in front of millions.
We can both be happy. Obviously you have no problem with a lifetime of mediocrity your body of work speaks for itself which is why the Pac12 is perfect for you.

George: We're gonna get a little place.
Lennie: Okay, yeah, we're gonna get a little place and w're gonna...
George: We gonna...
Lennie: ...have...
George: We're gonna have a cow, and some pigs, and we're gonna have, maybe-maybe, a chicken. Down in the flat, we'll have a little field of...
Lennie: Field of alfalfa for the rabbits.
George: ...for the rabbits.
Lennie: And I get to tend the rab...
