Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

      No doubt.

Indy on your correlation table of wins with completion percentage and yards, is that yards per attempt or completion?

No doubt. We turned into Utah.

Yes, every once in a while you'll go up against a team that just flat out beats you, but those are fewer and far between.
The nice thing about Logan was that he was a temptation for opponents to go after but rarely get beaten. Even if they completed the pass he was an excellent tackler and held the yards to a minimum.

Yes. I was completely comfortable with Logan because he was fundamentally sound and never missed tackles. That was a welcome change from some of the ole style tackling our corners have traditionally brought to the field.

By "ole style tackling" do you mean tackling the receiver before the ball arrives? Or did you mean tackling the receiver after he's already scored?

                Premature tackulation?

I actually was referring to CBs being in position to make the tackle and then not breaking down properly, resulting in the ball carrier running through an arm tackle after an easy move.

Lb. for Lb., Logan might have been the best pure tackler on the team (or at least one of them). He was the one DB that didn't make me cringe when I saw him one-on-one in space with a ball carrier. And by "old style," I mean "wrapping up." None of this shoulder tackling stuff.

Kiffin must have seen this work somewhere, at some time.

LOS ANGELES -- Quarterbacks Max Wittek and Cody Kessler both will play for No. 24 Southern California in its season opener next week.

Coach Lane Kiffin said Saturday that he couldn't pick a starting quarterback after a full offseason of evaluation, so both sophomores will get snaps Thursday at Hawaii.

My 14 year old nephew wrote this comprehensive guide to the season. There are some grammatical errors, but I think it's pretty good.

He has a couple of editorials on there and then a team-by-team preview of the SEC, Pac-12, Big 10, Big 12, AAC, MWC, MAC, Indies, Conference USA, & Sun Belt.
