I wish Nebraska had that excuse. The Huskers did play 1.5 quarters of good football to start the game while UCLA made a couple big mistakes. I think their next opponent (South Dakota St.) could have defeated Nebraska with the way they played in the second half. Oh well, maybe an Aggie victory over Alabama will take my mind off it.Originally posted by woot View PostI can only hope this debacle is the result of looking ahead. And it'd be hard to blame the coaches -- Akron came in looking like one of the worst teams in the nation. Problem is that these coaches don't do stuff like that so I really doubt that's what happened. Obviously a huge emotional letdown after last week. This game would have been considered a trap game if Akron didn't completely suck. Yikes.
I hope they all learn something from this, as M has to travel to mighty UCONN next week. That could be a doozy.Last edited by Paperback Writer; 09-14-2013, 01:00 PM.“Not the victory but the action. Not the goal but the game. In the deed the glory.”

Did anybody see the TD replay in the FSU game? Pass from Winston caught in the end zone, but ruled out of bounds. Replay clearly showed the receiver's toe came down in bounds before his foot came down out of bounds, but they didn't have the balls to overturn the call - crazy.I'm like LeBron James.

UCLA FG was overturned in the Nebraska game. Both officials under the goalposts raised their hands while the Nebraska fans sitting behind the goalposts were cheering. Reply showed wide right and the points were taken off the board. How do officials miss a call when they are standing right under the goalposts and the ball was only a few yards higher than the cross bar and a couple yards wide right??? I thought Bo Pelini was going to internally combust.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostDid anybody see the TD replay in the FSU game? I saw that too. Pelini shouldn't have had to call for the replay on that. It's one thing if the ball goes over the goal posts, it becomes a tough call. But on that it should have been obvious as it went right by the post.Originally posted by Paperback Writer View PostUCLA FG was overturned in the Nebraska game.
