As background, Abdullah was a first team All Big Ten RB and rushed for almost 1,700 yards in 2013; fourth highest single season total at Nebraska. He also rushed for 1,100+ plus yards in 2012. Abdullah is from Alabama, had a very modest upbringing, and is the youngest of nine children.
