2013 College Football Season

There are around 5 other guys here that watch sports in any capacity. One of them used to play baseball for BYU and is also a UW grad alum. He is a legit sports fan. 3 of them are Utes who follow the team from a very casual distance (one of them was the one that told me that UW was after Whit). The last guy is a heavy metal dude who only cares about the Pittsburgh Steelers and no other team or sport. he wears Steeler gear a few days a week, When the Steelers debuted that horrible bumble bee throwback, he went out and bought one and wears it to work often. He has Steeler screen savers, a Steeler license plate frame, a Steelers tattoo, and his dog is named Steeler (which is kind of a cool name, actually). I know this about his dog because in the summer he brings his dog to work with him. He also doesnt wear shoes around the office.

Actually, I dont know everyone's name yet. For our upcoming xmas party I asked the admin to make name tags for everyone

How many people do you work with? Without that information, I can't determine just how ashamed you should be. I've been with my company for several years and still don't know everyone's name, but there are about 35,000 people here, so I'm not too hard on myself for not being familiar with everyone.

Basically a bunch of dudes ran a train on her (sounds like only 2, Winston and one other guy who she knew and was ok having sex with). She wasn't drugged or drunk and she didn't tell them to stop. After the fact she probably had some regrets and said she was raped. Whether she was or wasn't is up for debate. The way the DA is presenting this it seems the people that witnessed could have also been the one's participating. Jameis jumped in after he saw her having sex with the other guy. She did not give Jameis permission to jump in.

So Jameis is a sick bastard whether they pursue charges or not.

Tough situation. The bottom line is he didn't feel like they would be able to get a conviction.

With what you described, I think he may very well be right that he can't get a conviction. I also think it is a mistake not to charge this one. It sends a horrible message regarding consent. Sure it is an awful idea to have sex in the open at a public party, but that decision absolutely does not mean that you are agreeing to have sex with someone else who feels he has a right to jump in.

I'm not so sure. Having sex In the open with lots of witnesses and admitting it was with consent. Then the other guy "jumps in" and she now doesn't consent. How was that communicated? Did she scream? Say someThing? Was she held down? Without some such fact I think it is not only a pretty hard case to prove, but I think it's pretty hard to justify the charge. Sure it's all pretty reprehensible, but I don't think that justifies a charge.
