His girlfriend at the time served her mission in mine. She was a great basketball player and a fine looking daughter of Eve. All the Elders wanted to post up on her.

I remember him. I also remember KC Tiumalo. He was a bruiser.

Oh! And Nick Eyre. He finished third in the Outland Trophy. Protected Jim McMahon and Marc Wilson I believe.

One of my favorites back in the day was Tyler Anderson. Didn't have a huge career but he was a legit deep threat with elite speed. He had a pretty good career on the BYU track team. Had a 100 yard KO return for a TD and it seemed like most of his receptions were over 30 yards.

I can't remember which game or year, but a DB jumped his out route on the goal line and intercepted it so they were basically going opposite direction at the interception. But Tyler somehow got turned around and ran him down from behind after 90 yards to prevent the TD. One of my favorite BYU plays ever.

I think Hema Heimuli was better than many give him credit for.

My ultimate unsung guy - Brad Clark. As good a hitter/tackler I've ever seen at BYU. Not the greatest athlete, but I'm convinced he could have been as good a special teams guy as Steve Tasker if he would have been given the opportunity in the NFL.

Tom Young. According to a guy who sat near my brothers and I one year he was "waaaaaaay better than Walsh will ever be".

Was Rocky Beagle all-conf? He was the first defender that ever made my boy parts tingle. A play against New Mexico when he lost his helmet and chased down the play and made a tackle.

He has to hold the record for the most late hit personal foul penalties at BYU.
