      thought this was interesting.

Through Saturday (according to Sagarin) Washington's schedule was the toughest in the country. Utah was second.

      BYU - 33
      Utah State - 89

How did Sagarin rank the three teams respectively?

I've been a Cal fan since I was six, not coincidentally the last time the Bears went to the Rose Bowl. For the most part, mine has been a love unrequited. Cal typically has a lot of talented players (they put quite a few in the NFL), but the whole is usually less than the sum of its parts. They certainly have the talent to beat Utah, but Tedford has done a pretty lousy job of late, and there's nothing to suggest they'll turn things around in RES.

The teams are close IMHO, but Cal does have a couple of Pac 12 victories (UCLA and WAZU). Utah is at a point this season where I am not sure Cal has to turn anything around in order to win.

Anyone know the recruiting back story of Isi Sofele, Cal's RB? A Cottonwood kid that doesn't even trip to Utah (Cal, Washington St, and Hawaii)?

                  Hawaii!?!?!?!

I have always wondered why more kids don't take recruiting trips to Hawaii.

I think this was either Chris Hill's or G.W. Bush's fault.

Particularly after that UH ad they were running last year that basically said "Hey - we're having a party here in Hawaii. You should come to school here!"

In the Redzone, you gotta stick with the run game, throw to Murphy, or throw to Scott. That's it. You do that, and you'll score more than you won't!

A home game for Travis Wilson might just be what the doctor ordered...man let's hope so.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

What I heard was that once he started getting looks from BCS schools, he had no interest in the local schools. As for Hawaii, according to my son who is friends with Isi's cousin, he has some family there.

Cottonwood kids have a tendency to "big-time" local schools since the arrival of Scott Cate.

And that is why Utah is taking 2 years off from the BYU series instead of playing both Michigan & BYU.

That's also why the SEC gets so much love while the PAC-12 is regarded as 3rd best by most people, that extra game for the PAC-12 is usually a cupcake for an SEC team.
