Question for you guys--have you ever not been able to get 2 to 4 tickets to a game you wanted to attend?

Clark, looks like a killer roadtrip with the kiddo all around.
I haven't the experience as some, but when I have tried I have normally not had problems. The closest I ever came to missing out was a big one. BYU vs. New Mexico at the 2011 MWC tourny, the game Jimmer scored 52. I was there alone, making a quick detour from a business trip. That game was kind of a perfect storm. Jimmermania was at its peak; everyone wanted to see him. The top four seeds had all won, so the largest fan bases were still interested, and UNLV was still in it. There were a LOT of people milling around hoping to get tickets, and not many people selling. I talked to a couple of people who were asking for a lot, I forget how much, but I think none of them were offering anything for less than $200.

Then, about 10 minutes before tipoff, I see this old guy in a checkered blue shirt, standing around like he isn't sure what to do, and he has a ticket in his hand. I asked him if he was selling, and he said he was. I asked him how much he wanted for it, and he said "Well, I paid $40 for it." I gave him $60 out of gratitude, and he apologized, saying the seat wasn't great.

It wasn't great, but fortunately there were a couple of nice guys with much better seats who happened to have an empty one next to them, so I went down with them and watched Jimmer fill it up.

OK, kind of a boring story, but one of my favorites. I still have the ticket sitting in a mug on my desk at work.

That night was legitimately challenging. In fact, one of the toughest gets I have ever experienced. there were loads of buyers, not a lot of sellers at all.
      Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

I forgot all about that. It took place about 10 feet away, from where scalpers were offering me $150/seat for my 6 tickets

I'd like to see SeattleUte try to explain away a "coincidence" like that!

Thanks Drogers86. It is very considerate, and only moderately creepy, of you to search us out. She did, in fact, enjoy the cotton candy quite a bit. If it is warmer next time we go, we will try one of your fine sno-cones!
