Then, about 10 minutes before tipoff, I see this old guy in a checkered blue shirt, standing around like he isn't sure what to do, and he has a ticket in his hand. I asked him if he was selling, and he said he was. I asked him how much he wanted for it, and he said "Well, I paid $40 for it." I gave him $60 out of gratitude, and he apologized, saying the seat wasn't great.
It wasn't great, but fortunately there were a couple of nice guys with much better seats who happened to have an empty one next to them, so I went down with them and watched Jimmer fill it up.
OK, kind of a boring story, but one of my favorites. I still have the ticket sitting in a mug on my desk at work.
