Then the Utes were even luckier than I thought as they kept winning close games against good teams. Last year Bronco was 4-1 in close games but BYU was favored in all 4 of those wins.

On the 2008 Utes I remember thinking that Utah was not the best team on the field on more than one occasion. TCU is the obvious one but it seems like there were others.

That was my question. If before, Utah's average margin of victory would be about 44 points. After the benching, BYU's average margin of victory would probably be about 3.
