Got to hand it to Gary Anderson. He has done a great job up there. This is the strongest the program has been for as long as I can remember.
It will be interesting to see how long USU can keep him.

    • Good for the Aggies to pull one out. They really ought to win that conference this year. It sucks to lose this early in the year and to have the dreaded quarterback injury bug again for the Utes.

Andersen has really done a wonderful job there. They are going to commence being a difficult opponent every year. Glad we've got 2 for 1 with them.

I will go out on a limb and predict that they end up with th most at the end of the season though.

Does this put USU in the BCS buster conversation?
If they were to beat Wisconsin next week, then maybe they could start talking.

Okay is this denial or bargaining?
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

I feel bad for Wynn. When I saw him go down first thought was if he'd ever play again.
I think that is the case either way. He may recover but I don't think he will be healed. His performance prior to the injury will place too much doubt about his ability to mentally overcome his injury to ever let him back on the field as a starter.

If the Aggies keep rising like this then the MWC is going to be a formidable conference with USU, Nevada, Fresno, Hawaii and Air Force.

                • What is it about the offensive PI that made it PI? He made contact with the defender within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage, and well before the ball was in the air. Is the defender allowed to make contact (jam off the line) but the offensive player not?

Bingo. You can't play that poorly and then blame it on one or two calls at the end. You don't want to be in a position where you have to beat a team on the road in overtime.

Injured QB, lots of players missing, etc. This is fixable.

The ball was on the six yard line and he pushed off in the end zone.

                          • I am so happy for the Aggies. What a great victory. My son went to EFY in Logan last summer and loved it. Been pulling for them since.

I was actually encouraged by the offense with Hays, The pace was crisper, the receivers were actually part of the offense again. Hays has some limits, but he doesn't hesitate and sometimes the gold is won by the bold. Football is a game of split second decisions, and sometimes you can outthink yourself. Wynn was all the way down that pathway tonight.

                              • Maybe this is a lousy time to bring it up, but Whit was crazy to hire a 25-year-old kid as the OC. Can't figure that one out.
