  • When will BYU take over the head to head FB series lead with Utah?

I know it's not really a rivalry anymore, but it's an interesting question.

Considering BYU has a National Championship, a Heisman winner, and a head coach in the CFB Hall of Fame, it's kind of odd that Utah has the edge in the head to head series 52-31-4.

I've learned to never say never.

But I'd wager that it will happen a lot closer to "never" than it will be to "now."

BTW, Utah also has a HOF coach in it's past in Ike Armstrong.

Next 40 years or more... isn't that like Geico's "up to 15% or more"? In other words, anything form 0% - 100%. Anyway, that's the one that got my vote. Sometime in the future BYU will catch up.

Probably not, but a person should never say never.

Before I vote, do these numbers include those games when BYU was playing with high school students and whoever else they could pull on to the team?

Given the histories of both schools, it is quite remarkable that BYU is already ahead in basketball.

I'm probably wrong, but isn't the margin the same regardless of whether you count games from the time BYU claims to be founded vs. when BYU fans claim they actually started playing football?

I don't think it will be played that often in 10 years. Combine that with current parity between the programs and I don't think BYU has a chance.

I don't get this comment. Did someone say BYU is a national historical power?

BYU has given Utah the <pixelated> finger. They won't play each other enough in the future to even the series.
