    • So a couple of years later and urb still hasn't even won a bowl game yet. Or a conference title. Wow.

          • It will be interesting to see if Urban does anything on the Defensive side of the ball. Our defense (Which is usually known to be better than average every year) has struggled under Urban the last 2 years, and the year before that it was also pretty poo. Yes, we had a lot of injuries on Defense but that should not be an excuse for a team like Ohio State.

The play calling seems to be a major problem IMO. It seems they play lots of zone and that "Bend but don't break" style of defense. I would think we have the athletes to play Man in our secondary a little more and get more pressure on the QB. In addition, the basic idea of tackling a runner seems to be a major issue. Hitting a guy and expecting them to go down is just plain stupid. Wrap them up!!

The sad thing is, I like Luke Fickell. But his play calling has been horrible.

The truly sad thing is that Urb has not yet been hit by a meteor.

But with China increasing its presence in space, more countries are putting more junk into orbit, thereby increasing the possibility that Urban Meyer may be hit by an object falling from space.

                    • JL: You prayers will not be answered. I suggest praying that someone hits him with a plastic bottle at an away game.. That is more likely to happen. And equally enjoyable for you, DD, YO, etc. al..

                        http://msn.foxsports.com/ohio/story/...ecstasy-010714

His father, Greg Spence, told ABC-27 that his son tested positive for a small amount of Ecstasy. The family said in the report that Spence unintentionally took the drug when he was given an open drink by people he didn't know at a party.

                        • He's obviously the victim there. And probably learned his lesson. Maybe even had to talk with a respected member of the greater football community like Tony Dungy.

I don't know which result makes Spence look more ridiculous.....his father's lame attempt to excuse his son from obviously fooling around drugs, or, if somehow this story is true, that someone would drink an open drink given to them at a party by individuals they did not know.

another ridiculous option: trying to drug a defensive lineman that could come back and kill you with his bare hands, and by the way you have no motive to drug him.

                              • The parents seem to be going to great lengths to get this removed. Looking to file a law suit against the Big Ten. Don't know what to say.. If I am Urban, I am going to be pissed. I believe he stated to the public that it was some dietary supplement (Or maybe the news just stated that).

They seemed to believe their son wouldn't do this and going to do what they can to exonerate his name. Strange all around. Take the suspension and move on...
