I'm referring to the process of applying for B1G membership. Of course, the B1G talks to "big schools" when they call. They talk, negotiate, come to terms. Then an announcement is made, and the team(s) are invited to apply and are immediately accepted. Is not like USC/UCLA applied to join the B1G and then the parties started the discussion. However, I do like the image of Utah mulling around while thinking, I applied to join but just haven't heard back from them...maybe I should try calling.

Given the context of the original tweet in question, it seems pretty clear that it was Oregon and UW calling up and asking if they could join. If you think that didn't happen you are crazy.

Yep... and the B1G is waiting to hear back from ND. If UW and/or Oregon jump to the B1G then the Pac 12 is no more. AZ, ASU, Colorado and Utah will most likely be joining BYU in the Big 12...

Since tOSU runs the B1G I doubt Utah has a chance to get in there. I mean, Utah, with their team in ages, almost beat tOSU’s second team and scrubs in the Rose Bowl. No way does tOSU want play Utah every year after that close call.

Seriously, poor poor depleted Ohio St. I bet they had to play a 3* recruit in that game. I mean, how could they manage with only 21 players on the field being elite recruits.

I mean it wasn't like Utah was so depleted that they were play a RB at CB and having to use that RB to cover a 4* elite recruit at WR that will probably be a first round draft pick and having balls thrown to him by a top 10 draft pick.

It wasn't long after Utah won a BCS bowl game that Utah fans started mocking BYU fans pride in winning the Cotton Bowl. I feel like winning the Cotton Bowl in the Bowl Coalition era is probably better than losing a modern day Rose Bowl.

A little bit of both I would say. But it is the first game of the season and we will see if either improves from the 1st game jitters.
