Probably. He had the big receiving game against Utah, but that's about it. I know people said one Heaps mistakes was that he favored Apo over Hoff, but I don't think that was the problem. Heaps and Hoff had a great connection to end the year as freshman, and I doubt Heaps somehow forgot he was out there to begin the season. I think the bigger problem, as everyone has talked about, is that Hoff was out of shape to start the year and wasn't getting open. I remember looking at the distribution between Hoff/Apo when Riley got hurt and Jake came back (and Hoff was in game shape), and it was pretty even between the two. That's crazy. How do they do that with just one screen?
