So what are the chances that Stanford plays in the NC game? Say LSU gets beat by 10 points or so in Atlanta and Oklahoma beats Ok St. Does that mean Stanford moves in to 2nd? I think in that scenario it would be reasonable to put LSU at 3rd with people not wanting a rematch and such. It would also mean LSU wouldn't play in a BCS game.

I don't see the pollsters or computers penalizing the SEC that much for a loss at this stage. If LSU loses by 10, I think it would help Georgia more than hurt LSU. The country has made up its mind....LSU will play for the title. And I think LSU has done enough this season to be in that game, even with a loss to Georgia.Originally posted by Mormon Red Death View PostSo what are the chances that Stanford plays in the NC game? you are probably right. I wish the BCS would release more detail to let people know how their rankings are configured.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostI don't see the pollsters or computers penalizing the SEC that much for a loss at this stage. So, you're saying that a team that doesn't win it's conference is good enough to be selected to play for the fake national championship? I could see it happening if they earn it via an invite as an at large selection in a playoff, but to be chosen rather than a conference champion? If that's the case, why have any conferences?Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostI don't see the pollsters or computers penalizing the SEC that much for a loss at this stage. The BCS doesn't want known how they do it because it would expose the corruption behind it. The BCS cartel does not want to lose control of how college football works these days.Originally posted by Mormon Red Death View Postyou are probably right. If LSU loses and plays in the FNC then both teams would have gotten in to the game without winning their conferences.Originally posted by il Padrino Ute View PostSo, you're saying that a team that doesn't win it's conference is good enough to be selected to play for the fake national championship? That would be even more reason to demand the BCS explain its system for rankings.Originally posted by Mormon Red Death View PostIf LSU loses and plays in the FNC then both teams would have gotten in to the game without winning their conferences."Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill

Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.

I'm not sure why everyone is all of a sudden so convinced LSU is going to lose to Georgia. What have people seen from LSU that suggests they are going to lose?
Also a rematch isn't the most exciting, but who are the other candidates? A team that lost to Iowa State?! or a team that got undressed on national TV at home. Not really much to choose from this year.Get confident, stupid

Why not an undefeated Houston team?Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostI'm not sure why everyone is all of a sudden so convinced LSU is going to lose to Georgia. What have people seen from LSU that suggests they are going to lose?
