      • There were a few disappointments yesterday, but in the end a couple late flips bumped the class up to 14, only one spot short of being full. Hoke was a great recruiter, and this class is virtually identical to Hoke's transition class, only with 5 fewer low 3-star guys.

Until the class rankings start taking into account the number of available scholarships, they don't seem very useful. Wasn't it just a couple years ago USC had a ridiculous hand-picked class of 5-stars that didn't even make the top 10 due to its small size? M's class isn't in that league, but its #19 in average player quality looks better than its #38 team ranking.

Harbaugh did a good enough job with very limited time. I'm sure a lot of fans were hoping for a blue chip stampede, but relationships are often the most important thing and that's tough to build in a month. This class was always going to be small, but almost everybody from the top-5 classes in 12 and 13 is still on the team, so there is still a lot more talent available than there was at Stanford. Having one spot to fill might even come in handy, as it seems that there's a TE at OU that may want to transfer, and Harbaugh is open to a grad-year QB as well. I bet things turn out pretty well.

Looks like John O'Korn is going to fill that spot!

          • Looks like Houston QB John O'Korn is transferring in. He'll sit this year and then have 2 to play. He should be familiar to folks here -- he looked very promising as a true freshman but struggled and got benched last year after an OC change.

He's obviously a bad fit for Tom Herman's offense so it seems a good decision to transfer, but Michigan needs help immediately. Harbaugh always brings in a bunch of QBs to make sure somebody pans out so more competition is good, but it might still be ideal to bring in a grad transfer.

Rumor has it that Wayne Lyons, a Stanford grad transfer CB, might also be incoming. This would put M over the 85 limit, but Hoke mentioned a while back that a couple OL might transferring out. M is also considering bringing in Weber State's 5th-year punter.
