I'm not buying in until an announcement is made. I refuse to get back on this roller coaster.

True, I can't imagine leaving Northern Minnesota in December either.

Assuming a 9 game conference schedule, we'll have to cut the series with one of the following long-lost, current, or pending rivals:

        Hawaii
        Utah
        Utah State
        Boise State

Which of these concubines shall we loose?

Idaho easily has the worst winter road maintenance I've ever seen. I have many tales of white-knuckle terror driving the I-15 stretch after storms. I'd chalk it up to low population density but that hardly explains how they get their frozen knickers severely beaten by both Montana and Wyoming.

Utah State. Utah State needs to be in the MWC and form some rivalries with Wyoming and Colorado State, while playing Utah and Weber State every year, IMO. BYU needs to schedule Weber State or Southern Utah during the years they play on the road against Hawaii.

I've never understood it. In January once you got on the freeway steering was optional. Just get your tires into the grooves and good luck when your exit comes.

I would assume that its a strategy to keep people from leaving the state.

If we are in the Big 12, I'm fine with dropping Utah. They tried to big time us with the September thing, and we can return the favor. Boise State's a great game. Utah State's willing to go 2:1 or higher. Utah doesn't do much for us if we move to the Big 12.

Why hasnt SU posted in this thread yet?

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. I have a feeling that ESPN and Fox will want to keep Utah vs BYU going, along with the majority of fans in Utah.

Utah could be the 13th game every other year, maybe?

Despite our recent record, I don't want the BYU/Utah series to totally go away.

I'd be happy dropping UofU and replacing them with a Big 12 slate. They can play us in Nov like always, or not at all.
