An entire thread devoted to making fun of Utah's early struggles in the PAC-12. Can't wait to see the outrage that is sure to be expressed by the those who were infuriated by a YouTube poking fun at BYU after a BYU win last week.

I don't think people were really infuriated over the youtube video you posted. Rather they were just using the opportunity to point out that you're a dork and that was as good a time as any.

This thread is worth a double face palm.

For the record, I had no problem with that video. Also for the record, I expect BYU would fare in the Big 12 this year about as good as Utah has in the PAC-12.

And now, with the record straight, I will laugh at Utah some more.

Reviewing this thread reminds me how we no longer need BYU. We don't need to play them, we don't need to engage in these types of dumb (good word for it Lebowski) tits for tats with BYU fans. Who should put up with even these kinds of sophomoric titties from any fans? As we've learned the past three weeks, we shouldn't even be competing with them for the same recruits.

Maybe we should just erase BYU from our consciousness. I'd be okay with that. After beating BYU 54-10 this year I think I'm at liberty to say with complete credibilty that I detest the friggin rivalry. Really. We no longer need a "Holy War" with BYU any more than American needs one with Afghanistan.

I feel an ASU rivalry coming on strong.

Your new "rival" is Colorado, the other new cellar dwellar in the PAC-12. I look forward to watching it at the end of the year. Like watching Wyoming play Colorado State.

Much like most of what Viking does, this thread is extremely premature. It reminds me a bit of the message board taunting that went on in 2005 after Utah lost to NM and Brian Johnson's season was ended. Many BYU fans were certain that the next week, a Jo. Beck led BYU team would keep Utah from a bowl game in Whit's first season at the helm.

At some time in the future, Utah is going to be doing just fine in the PAC-12, and Ute fans will look back fondly on this premature taunt. Meanwhile, BYU fans will be getting prepared for the upcoming game with Akron and remembering the day we dodged the Big-12 bullet.

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

In case you weren't sure, you are not bound to BYU. If you are so certain about this why hang around and blather about it?

A good metaphor for BYU he is right now.
