You can call it a lost season if you want, but I guarantee you that things can get much worse if we have a series of losses to awful teams and I think that could happen the way Jake is playing.

It won't kill him to sit for a while. He has earned some bench time.
Go out and play all of our tough games for the season kid, when your done will let Riley feast on all the dregs of the CFB world the rest of the season, he's earned it with a quarter and a half of play against a D that wasn't ready for him.

      Still delusional, I see.

Is Heaps one of the worst QBs in the country or not? Thats where ypur argument crumbles. Heaps has earned some time off.

Must be nice to not have to worry about this as you can just fall back on your other favorite team, Texas.

I agree. No need to make a decision on our starting QB for next year or the rest of this year. Riley has earned at least one start, let's see what happens.

Heaps has the stats of one of the worst QBs in the country, but has he been put in a position to succeed? We have this new OC who can't figure out his offensive identity, no run game, bad O-Line play. There are a lot of teams who would gladly take "one of the worst QBs in CFB" Heaps on there team over who they have right now.

If we were playing a good team next week I would agree, but Riley is being put in a no-lose situation with the upcoming schedule.

It has nothing to do with having a fallback team, it has to do with having blinders on.

Why do people automatically say the Riley is so horrible? How many games did he start last year before he was hurt? How did he perform?

I can see that his arm isn't has good as Jake's, but he at least seems to have something that Jake doesn't: the abilty to improvise. He also has confidence. I just think that his approach to the position will result in him being injured sooner rather than later. Have we really seen Riley over a 5-6 game period?

Jake isn't going anywhere. I'm almost of the opinion that we should start Riley for the next few games to see where we get with that. If it doesn't work, or if Riley gets hurt again, then we can bring Jake back after he's had some time to clear his head.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

The other variables arent going to change this week, month, or likely, this season, so QB play must change.

Youre nuts re: desireability of Heaps right now. Rightly or wrongly, Sarkisian's probably letting out a huge sigh of relief. Bullet dodged.

Heaps would land on a BCS team if he opted that way.

After viewing this season's game film I highly doubt it. Even if he could catch on with a BCS team (most likely not a very good one) he'd be buried on the depth chart.

Heaps best option is to stick it out. If he does choose to leave it's not like we do not have options. Taysom Hill is very promising.
