Millions of USF fans are probably turning off their TV sets right about now in the greater Tampa area. Or at the very least, they are changing the channel to get the latest updates on all the nearby NFL teams.

I think he will get a legitimate chance to play qb. He still is raw in his reads(see the pick at the end of the first half), and doesn't always hit the receiver in stride, but he has the ARM and is a hell of an athlete

On defense they have a kid that was 370, I hear he is down to about 330. Supposedly BYU coaches told him they wouldn't consider him unless he got down to 300.

It was a comment based on all of the poor shot gun snaps

Hansen is interesting we know he is a great athlete but I think he has a long ways to go to become a good QB. So far this year he has been pretty damn good.

Talon Shumway and Micah Hanneman are also legit D-1 players out of Lone Peak.

I agree. If he plays qb, it will be because he redshirts, sits behind an established qb for his frosh and soph seasons and can develop the little things. He certainly has the tools, the question is if he and the Utah coaches can be patient enough to keep that good of an athlete off the field.

At 6'3", with that kind of athleticism, he has a chance to be special at safety, IMO. He could be a solid QB too, but I think his future is on the defensive side of the ball if he's willing.

If he ends up on defense, he will probably end up at olb. He has a great frame for adding enough weight. He is a taller version of Blechen

I've always had the Pitt game penciled in as a loss. Having to travel across two time zones to play a team from a BCS conference is never easy. Combine the weather and that Pitt is a fairly good team, nevermind OOC, and it will be incredibly difficult for Utah.

Just throwing this here as I don't care to search for the coaches thread from the offseason, but Fridge went off today on the radio about Maryland.

I could care less about Maryland. I’ve burned my diploma. I’m flying a Georgia Tech flag right now.
Well, they talk about Maryland pride. They didn’t show me a whole lot of Maryland pride, either getting the job or getting fired.

Is that a U flag under the Michigan flag on gameday? I can't tell as it rarely fully unfurls.

What's with the Karl Malone banner?
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock
