Moran, if we win the championsip do we or do we not go to a BCS bowl. Answer yes or no.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostNot only are you a Moran, you don't even realize it. Much like Friends of Scouting, the real bottom line dollars and their usage is kept secret from the huddled masses (who contribute said dollars).Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostYou don't know what the real deal is. I'm quite sure ESPN has made no binding commitment. BYU is on something like consignment.
ESPN's commitment was 'up to' a certain number of games/yr. 0 is included in the 'up to' number, but perhaps they will buy the game instead of airing a HS game. Go Vandals. 2nd best team on the Pallouse.

This deal was a freebee for ESPN. Trust me. Then BYU could crow about how it finally was able to do what it wanted to do all along, and try to save face. Independence and ESPN were all about PR in response to Utah going to the pac 12. It was stupid.Originally posted by NorthwestUteFan View PostMuch like Friends of Scouting, the real bottom line dollars and their usage is kept secret from the huddled masses (who contribute said dollars).

The results speak for themselves. Look at the schedules. Now that they got creamed by Utah, what do they have to live for? Nothing except maybe the El Paso bowl if they win all their patsies (just about all remaining games). It's a kind of fan purgatory. I feel sorry for BYU fans. They have terrible leaders. When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

Technically the Sun Bowl (El Paso) is a P12 game. P12 vs ACCOriginally posted by SeattleUte View PostNow that they got creamed by Utah, what do they have to live for? Nothing except maybe the El Paso bowl if they win all their patsies (just about all remaining games). .Get confident, stupid

I was referring to that bowl y'all played in last year. What was it called? It had a hilarious name.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostTechnically the Sun Bowl (El Paso) is a P12 game. QED.Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostMoran, if we win the championsip do we or do we not go to a BCS bowl. Answer yes or no.
You still think this is about winning "BCS bowls."
Great. Hopefully Utah can make it to another BCS bowl. SC, the team that beat Utah, losing horribly probably won't affect the goal of making it to a "BCS bowl."
Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

I'll take a BCS bowl in an off year. We've won a national championship since USC did.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostQED.

One loss and you readjust goals for the entire season? What kind of BCS coach are you? You keep illustrating my point, you just don't realize it.Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostI'll take a BCS bowl in an off year. We've won a national championship since USC did.
Much like Mormonism is in your DNA, mid-majorism is also in your DNA.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Or if we RE-HE-HEally shit the bed we can still go to the New Mexico bowl for a walk in the park against CSU or Wyoming. But my hope is still for a California trip over Christmas (Rose - not really a possibility, Holiday - perhaps, Kraft Foods Mac n' Cheese Bowl in SF - probably will finish higher).Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostYou are no longer playing for a BCS bowl, you are playing for the right to go to THE ROSE BOWL GAME.
Alamo - would be great, but won't go*
Sun Bowl - would be great, but won't go*
Maaco LV Bowl - not interested, but could go - would be nice to rematch against Boise State
*going to SLC to take the family snowboarding, might hit St George for a few days - could easily swing a San Diego roadie...
