IMO, this game is huge. UCF is going to be a tough game, as they will probably have the best QB we will face all year.

Defensively, we'll need JP healthy to have he and Van Noy on the edges to contain their QB and put pressure on.

The two biggest advantages BYU has this week, is first, they will hopefully want to get this awful taste out of their mouths from the game yesterday. Second, the fact that they're playing at home on a shorter week two time zones away (it will be an 8:00 PM start for Florida kids) in altitude should give BYU a slight bump.

I think BYU wins, but this is by no means a gimmie game. They'll have to earn it. It will be very interesting seeing how this team responds.

I plan on watching, I'm even going to order a new shirt to wear while watching. I think all my current BYU football shirts are on losing streaks.

Despite having witnessed the last weeks’ events, I wish I could be there Friday night, but I’ll be in a hotel room preparatory to embarking the next morning on an excellent 16-day trip. Friday night will define what kind of coaches and what kind of players we really have on this year’s team, and determine whether Saturday night’s debacle was a freak accident or the canary in the coal mine. I won’t be in the stadium, and yet I will be there.

When Jake Heaps achieves his first multi-touchdown game in 2011, I will be there.

When the offensive line finally starts opening holes for DiLuigi, Q and Kariya for triple digit rushing yardage, I will be there.

When the front seven racks up not just their first sack of the season, but more, I will be there.

And when room service brings me my dinner as I watch the foregoing, I will be there.
