Does this game settle once and for all which school gets to claim Ted Bundy on the "famous alum" entry on Wiki?

I feel that we will be able to contain Polk, somewhere in the 75-90 yard range. Not a total stuffing, but enough to make his yards well earned. My main concern is Price extending the play with his feet. I think that we have struggled with this style of QB over the alst few years. Omar Clayton is the one guy who comes to mind that seemed to be able to extend plays and drives with his movement and avoiding the rush. The two key players for our defense are Shelby and Joe Kruger. If they can get enough push upfield to keep Polk from breaking wide and keep Price contained in the pocket, we will win going away.

UW's defense is atrocious. Our Oline seemed to have a turning point game against BYU. They played exceptionally from the 2nd quarter on. IMO, we have faced the two toughest run defenses on our schedule already(USC, BYU). I think that we should be able to run against UW, esp with the loss of Jamora. They are moving a DT out to end, so we should be able to get White out on the edge and into space.

If there was ever a game for Wynn to show that he is healthy, this is it. Trufant is a decent Corner, but Washington's pass defense is dead last in FBS. This is likely as much about the lack of pass rush as anything. Eastern Washington scorched them for 473 yards, and Nebraska is the only team not to get over 300 yards(they got 309 on the ground instead). Christopher, Dunn, and Anderson should run wild on their secondary. If Wynn can get enough wounded ducks to the right spots, he should have his best game of the year. Also, Wynn has looked stronger each game, having 2 weeks between games should make a difference as well.
It sounds like UDUB is really beat up this week. I heard this morning on 1280 that Price is having problems with both knees and that there were 7 or 8 regulars that didn't practice yesterday for UDUB.

Whitt is 6-0 after a bye week, Utah is 10-0 after a bye week

Something that hasn't been mentioned much is how good of a situational spot this is for Utah. Washington has played 4 straight weeks where they've had to push to the very end, including the last two vs stiff competition in Nebraska and Cal while the Utes are coming off a bye.

Nebraska has decent LBs (all returning starters and a pre-season AA). I think Utah may have a better D-line than Nebraska but the Huskers still have an AA DT and are solid. Most of Polk yards (22-130; 1 TD) against Nebraska were between the tackles - and he got a lot of yards after contact. If Utah has to crowd the box, Washington's QB - Price is very accurate and makes good decisions. Price is very moblie in the pocket and buys himself time - he's difficult to sack even on a blitz. The Huskie receiving corp is also solid.

Overall, I was impressed by the Huskies. Having already played in Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, I don't think Washington will be phased by playing in Rice Eccles. On the opposite side, I think Utah's offense matches up well against Washington's defense. That's why I think it will be a close, high scoring game.
I agree and think that Utah has an edge on Nebraska as far as the D line is concerned but Nebraska has the edge in regards to LB's. Nebraska plays the run well and Polk averaged 5.9 yards a carry that game and went for 130 yards. Utah's D line has to have a big game and reduce his impact on the game.

You also brought up another concern and Price's ability to extend passing plays with his athleticism. The Montana St. Q.B. did this and created a couple of big plays for their team. I am going to go out on a limb and say he is better than the kid that Montana St. has and UDUB has better wide outs. Utah still has an inexperienced secondary and it is hard to cover guys for more than 4 to 5 seconds.

I'd be surprised if Utah doesn't have trouble with Chris Polk:

Polk is a 100 YPG back. He rushed for 1400+ yards in 2010. Just how good are Utah's DL and LB?

I am not worried about the DL. It is if Polk gets our LB's one on one either in the box because all the D line has eaten up there blocks or getting one of them in space on an outside run or the pass game. I like Polk. That kid has a ton a talent. I don't want to see Martinez or Walker on that kid one on one Saturday.
