      A Tale of Two Brothers

Once, in a land not far from here, two brothers dwelt just 40 cubits from each other. And behold! These brothers shared many, many traits and attributes, still did they dislike each other greatly and mightily did each strive against the other. And also did they mock, and also did they bear false witness against each other.

And the friends of each brother did also dislike and yeah, even revile the friends of the other brother. And there was much weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth, and also no little kicking against the pricks did take place among the supporters of both brothers.

And behold! Also did each claim they had won more games than the other. And one did declare that games in this dispensation only counted, while did the other declare that games unto the times of their father's father's father did count. And each did declare "Scoreboard" unto the other many times.

And it came to pass that one day the brother who dressed in red raiment was invited to join an exclusive and prestigous group of wise and exhalted men from the west. With this invitation also came offers of much gold, and of silver, and of other precious things. And also a BCS berth was included in this invitation, a thing much treasured at that time.

And the friends of the brother who wore the red raiment did rejoice and give great praise for they had been delivered up from mid-major status and were exalted in the eyes of the football Gods.

And it came to pass that the brother who went about in blue raiment did cry out unto the heavens in disbelief, and in jealousy and in a voice like a little girl did he wail. And also his friends did likewise, and did cry out to the friends of the brother who wore red raiment and did mock them and did say unto them that they would never be fruitful among the exclusive and prestigious group of men from the west.

And it came to pass that the brother who wore blue did declare that he was not invited to the other group because he was so righteous in the eyes of the Lord, and the other group of men and the brother who wore red raiment were sinners in the eyes of the Lord. And also hippies, too did he call many of them, and tree huggers, also and smokers of pot and drinkers of beer, also did they say of them.

And it came to pass that the brother who wore blue raiment did declare that he and his friends had a crappy tv deal and didst declare themselves independent from former friends of long standing. But before this did they try to make alliegence with other friends of even longer former standing.

But behold it came to pass that Fresno St. and Reno in their pride and wickedness did sodomize this effort.

And behold! After being sodomized did the brother who wore blue raiment declare that he would prefer to wander alone in the wilderness for 40 years and could play for the national championship if he darn well wanted to anyways.

And also the friends of the brother who went about in blue raiment did declare that wandering about in the wilderness was what they had all wanted all along anyway. And they did then rejoice and also did they sing hosannahs unto the HD truck, and Tom Holmoe did testify that they had long wished to wander alone in the wilderness and that the invitation from the men to the west unto the brother who went about in red raiment had nothing to do with it.

And the friends of the brother who wore red raiment did snicker and guffaw and also did they snort and giggle.

And also did they admit that the last half of his football schedule would make a giant sucking sound, like unto a rusty toilet, or a sickly curelom. And also that it would offend the nose like unto the inside of a Jaredite barge with all those animals in there and no windows, nigh up to the time the Jaredites did make landfall be that in Meso America or upstate New York or wherever they are saying this week.

And the Lord did look down upon the two brothers and was well pleased. And the Lord reminded his children again that he would not be mocked, and that hippies were beloved in his eyes, and that he had always blessed the brother who wore red raiment because he was a research institution, and also did that brother allow his friends to go about with beards upon their faces, like unto the Lord's only begotten son.

if there is one thing that Wynn has been this year, it's accurate. You can critique him for his arm strength and delivery, but against USC he made some good throws.

I wouldn't agree here, from what I saw from the USC game most of the big plays were great adjustments from the WRs on poorly thrown balls.

And yet Aiono Key had his best game as a WR against BYU in 2009. He didn't do much of anything as a WR against anyone else.

Bronco Mendenhall also gave his thoughts on Wynn's shoulder: "The accuracy doesn't seem to be affected at all, possibly the release or the mechanics look a little bit different then from what I remember," said Mendenhall. "The only thing I've noticed is the delivery and the mechanics seemed a little bit altered from where it was before."

Coachspeak, there is a lot more altered than just the mechanics, the velocity and trajectory and spin of the ball all look very different.

Wynn (it is now known) wasn't right in last year's game either. And he wasn't very accurate and had no velocity. Recall he was benched for a couple of series. And the throw that won the game wasn't great, but DVC made the play.

To the poster above who says BYU's scheme doesn't allow that...whats new this year? Perhaps its just better athletes in the BYU backfield?

Can we just agree that Wynn's arm is not what it was pre-injury and just go from there? Only time will tell how well he can do with it. BYU fans are just a bit too pleased/excited about the difficulty the guy is having.

Nothing is new, except BYU's front 7 is MUCH better than last year, we won't get the shanked punt off a BYU players leg, we won't get the interception and then knee down "fumble", we won't get the ball off BYU's DB's chest right into the hands of a ute for a TD, oh and it is at BYU this year.

Using last year as a good reason for why the Utes should win shouldn't exactly be encouraging to Ute fans.

Don't mistake my intentions here. Nothing that happened last year excites me a bit about this upcoming game. My point was simply that while Wynn has been mediocre at best this season he wasn't much by season's end last year either.
