Not the right thread so I won't detail the dismantling he did of Heaps but suffice to say I think he'd find flaws in any quarterback.

Poorly worded. Let me expound, Riley.

You hammered Wynn for soft play, confidence issues, running ability, decision making, etc but really never once qualified your answers with the obvious positives. It was the show's producer who had to throw in those tidbits.

Dont they typically each take a side? One props him up, the other pops him down. Very trite, but there you have SLC sprots radio.

I'm pissed at Riley too. I can't believe that couldn't even mention that Wynn worked on his dance moves over the off season.

God knows he will need it with Utah's O-line going up against PAC-12 defenses every week.

Also, Riley Nelson loves his earring in his left ear.

BYU fans' interest in our QB is impressive and deeply touching.

When norm chow says someone reminds him of Ty Detmer we must take notice. I can't wait to watch Wynn throw for 500 yards a game and single handedly lead Utah to victories over #1 ranked teams.

Hey, YOhio reminds me of Jack Lemmon but that doesn't mean I'm saying he's going to win Academy Awards. Maybe a CUFfie or two, but....

Aside from that of KL, I don't think the concern is all that sincere.

                    Sorry, just being honest.
                    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I believe he was talking about the size of his schnozz.

In that regard, the comparisons are quite striking.

It's true; Wynn definitely has the nose of a 44-y.o. man.

                          • I think what really upset some of you is that Chow dared mention Jordan in the same sentence as Ty, by saying Wynn reminded him of Detmer. I'm sure Norm didn't mean to upset anyone by saying something positive about a Ute player in a way that held a great BYU player up as a standard to strive for.

                            • Wynn reminds me of Payton Manning.

They're both on a pitch count while recovering from injury. How could anyone deny the similarities?

I don't recall Detmer ever being on a pitch count. I'm not sure I see the similarity.

I recall when Utenation was embittered towards Wynn when he slid early and did not get a first down scrambling against ND. Then it came out that his shoulder was injured.

Does anyone think Ty Detmer, on his death bed, would slide early before getting a first down?

The only similarities I see between Ty and Wynn is: 1.) that they both use the letter Y as a vowel at some point in their name. 2.) That Norm Chow is able to use them both to make the opposing fanbase in the Y-U rivalry whine like the Women of Srbrnca.
