Ugh. Don't remind me.Originally posted by The Fourth Nephite View PostFear the Fork! I grew up an ASU fan in nearby Chandler. Favorite memory? ASU 19 #1 Nebraska 0.
I was dating a very mean Mormon chick at the time, and was trying to break up with her (I was honestly afraid of what she'd do to me). My dad had season tix and I was planning on attending with him (thoroughly expecting to lose). My GF's brother had tickets to the first ever Phoenix Coyotes game in PHX (albeit preseason)...at least, I think it was. At any rate, I figured it would be best to go to the Coyotes game because (a) it wouldn't make my unstable GF angry and (b) ASU was going to lose. They updated the score every 30 mins or so on the jumbotron, and I was beside myself with grief.
ASU football is the only team I think I could root for consistently, but they've also made it difficult since the Plummer-Tillman years.Jesus wants me for a sunbeam.
