Not sure if Langi will be the exception but history is not on his side. On top of that God will surely punish him for picking Utah over BYU.
You guys are FOS. Unless you have a weird feeling to back this up.

He doesn't have the speed of the other guys in the secondary, but he has a nose for the football and hits like a freight train.

BYU's backfield outside Juice is questionable. JJ never has impressed me and I think Kariya lost some swagger (compared to what I saw during the '09 season). Meanwhile, Utah's backfield has yet to play a down in D1, so I'll withhold my judgement on them until I see them play. In all honestly, the running/full backs from both teams aren't really all that impressive.

Jj ran for 950 yards on 5.2 ypc and caught 45 passes last season. I think that's enough to earn him the benefit of the doubt when comparing him with three RBs who have never played. Also, while Quezada matched JJ in terms of ypc, he has yet to prove he can be nearly as reliable in the passing game.

Agreed. JJ isn't an every down back but the kid is legit.

How so? I haven't heard anything re: Langi in a while. Concussions?

First bold: I think your standards may be a bit too high. He's an undersized back playing a big man's game. That alone is pretty impressive.

Second bold: Did Kariya ever have swagger? He's the anti-swagger. He'll run over you twice before thinking about running around you. Straight forward; north and south. If you mean that he's not as talented as you'd hoped after the OU game in '08, well, I agree.
