SEC taunting the rest of the country

Looks like the SEC wants to rub it in our noses!

    The 2011 media guide cover

The SEC would like to remind you that they have won five straight BCS titles and they are not ready to end that streak just yet. For some historical perspective, the last time a power conference won more than three in a row, the Big Ten won four straight from 1933-1936, which was boosted by a three-year championship reign by Minnesota. Ivy League members put together an eight year string of championships but that happened 40 years before there was an Ivy League.
Fear not. Someone already put together an "alternate cover," pending the Auburn investigation

That's funny. That reminds me of how Southern Cal fans used to say that they "almost" won three in a row.

Southern Cal fans. What a joke. Southern Cal will be lucky to win 8 games this season.

And now that's zero championships, if you ask LSU. How about that.

What!? They want to sell cocaine now?

I love the asterisk version, BTW.

Come on, Johnny was a much better player. When it was the devil's turn the little demons did all of the heavy lifting. He forgot that it wasn't a team event.

ohmygosh, tell me about it! The irony about that song is that it's some of the worst fiddling ever. The violin is sharp through all the runs. I've always wondered what that song would sound like played in tune. I figure by now it would just sound, you know, wrong.

It didn't sound any better live. And I thought I'd forgotten that memory of Charlie Daniels Band playing at the Nebraska State Fair eons ago. I do remember attending against my will.
