the U of A's campus is nice, but Tucson itself is not.

Tucson does have the oldest Mexican Restaurant in the United States and the food is excellent. Other than that Tucson is pretty dismal in my opinion.

You of all people should know when I am joking. You miserable vomitous mass.
Of course I did, which was why I laughed. Bronco wouldn't be a candidate for anything other than GA.

Tombstone is nearby and it's pretty cool, although very touristy. El Charro cafe is good food (oldest Mexican Rest. in the US). there are some good places to hike in Sabino Canyon. i'm looking forward to trying out the sausage deli - supposed to have good sandwiches.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Arizona has never been to a Rose Bowl. Have they ever won a PAC 10 now 12 championship and not been selected to participate in the Rose Bowl?

the closest they came was in 1998, they finished the year 12-1.

Their only loss was to UCLA who went 8-0 in the PAC-10. UCLA went to the Rose Bowl and UA went to the Holiday Bowl.

thank you for googling that. we have so many PAC experts here now. A few weeks ago, LA Ute implied that he knew by memory the exact date that Oregon and Oregon State joined the PAC. It is all very impressive.

I did no such thing. At least I don't recall doing that. I do recall looking it up, but that was a while ago. No, it was not something I just knew on my own. Work with me here, I am learning about the conference. Meanie.

Yes, I was recalling from having looked the information up sometime before then. I already copped to the great sin of looking it up. What more do you want from me? Sometimes the persecution here is almost too much to bear.

                          LA Ute,

Had you simply prefaced your comments with "sources close to the situation indicate that" ...

BYU Fans understand that, and there's no need for any references, verification, backup or source. It's just gospel.

This is a flattering review of PAC12 stadiums (stadia?):

Now we just need to get our on-field play up to the level of our stadium!

"Stawberry Canyon is an awesome setting and on a clear day you can see San Francisco. Problem is, there are few clear days in the Bay Area." Laughably inaccurate. One can see SF from the Berkeley hills pretty much every day.

Addition: Arizona was Pac-10 co-champs with UCLA in 1993 after going 10-2. Both teams had two conference losses, but head-to-head was the tiebreaker.
