Weeks named #1 receiver in AZ
Read more: http://www.azcentral.com/sports/prep...#ixzz1Udta9SOXNo. 1: Josh Weeks
Show Low, Sr., 6-4, 205
This BYU commit will have a new quarterback throwing to him, but he's a gifted receiver with speed, jumping ability and soft hands. Last year, he caught 73 passes for 1,561 yards and 20 TDs on his way to making All-Arizona a second straight year.So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

http://www.ksl.com/?nid=968&sid=16738150&s_cid=rss-968“We only planned on meeting up for one day, but we ended up hanging out together for practically the entire time I was in Provo,” said the 6-foot-5, 277-pound Kearsley. “When I mentioned to him that I was going to BYU’s first practice on Saturday, he agreed to come and really liked it.”
Fanaika has always had a genuine interest in BYU, and according to Kearsley, that interest grew over this past weekend.
“He told me that it’s probably now down to Stanford and BYU, but we’ll see,” he said. “I really want him here, because he’s obviously a great player that can help us, but even more so, we’re good friends, and we get along great. It’s important to get along.”"Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

Weeks is a Maxpreps preseason all-american.

An all-Arizona pick, Weeks was nearly unstoppable, catching 73 passes for 1,561 yards and 20 touchdowns. He'll be one of the top players in Arizona this year.

It's great to have so many highly-ranked WRs in the mix for BYU. Growing up I mostly remember having elite QBs throwing to a bunch of meh. I used to be jealous of just about every other team, all of which seemed to have at least one really speedy/shifty guy.

I think in 10 more years BYU will start getting CB recruits of this caliber.Originally posted by woot View PostIt's great to have so many highly-ranked WRs in the mix for BYU. Weeks ranked 16th among West's top WRs according to scout.com http://t.co/VirNEbiScout ranks Collie above Weeks? That's surprising.yikes, how did I miss that Dylan Collie was ranked 12th? BYU has the 12th and 16th best WRs in the west committedSo Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Dang, that's a huge bump for him. I think Scout moved him just inside the top 10 as far as QB's go.Originally posted by woot View PostRivals updated their top 100 today, and Mangum comes in as the #3 QB and 39 overall.
Not to add too much to already-ridiculous hype, but even though Heaps was the #1 QB, he was only #63 overall.
I watched the elite 11 this weekend. He looked pretty good the few times I was not too distracted by Trent Dilfer's obnoxiousness to notice.Last edited by MarkGrace; 08-29-2011, 01:32 PM.So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Huge bump indeed. I think he was the #9ish pro-style QB on rivals yesterday; now he's #2 (Winston is the #1 dual-threat QB, Kiel the #1 pro-style QB, and Mangum the highest-ranked QB after those guys). Pretty awesome. I only wish his presence in the class would have attracted an elite receiver or two. Hopefully Collie and Weeks will end up being good.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostDang, that's a huge bump for him. I think Scout moved him just inside the top 10 as far as QB's go.

Collie is another Collie, after all.Originally posted by woot View PostHopefully Collie and Weeks will end up being good.
Seriously, I think Weeks is going to be a really good one.If we disagree on something, it's because you're wrong.

Yeah but he's 5'10 with lifts. A better comparison would be JD Falslev.Originally posted by SoCalCoug View PostCollie is another Collie, after all.

I've read that people think Collie the Younger is somewhere between Zac and Austin. And by that I'm guessing closer to Zac than Austin, but I still think that's a solid receiver. So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Take note SU, BYU is already getting BCS type treatment before the ink on the contract dries that moves BYU on up to deeeeelucks apartment in the sky-high-high!Originally posted by woot View PostRivals updated their top 100 today, and Mangum comes in as the #3 QB and 39 overall.
