Uncle Ted and JeffLebowski get a very low grade on prepping Cuffers for this game. Let's get some information please. We are high-end fans...we want high-end information!

The linked picture this morning is nice, but how bad are upper decks in this stadium? Is Sec 32 bad seating? Is there a sunny side and a shady side? What are the sight lines like? What does the ticket action look like on game day when the team is good and when the team is not as good? This doesnt even speak of things to do, go and see on and off campus, where to eat, etc. You guys are supposed to be Longhorn fans, act like it. Give us the scoop. Did you not go to football games there???

Also, I think highly of you guys and think you are both awesome. Much love, brothers!
Here is a picture of section 1 from the far side (taken around in section 23 or 24, I am guessing)... Section 32 is on the other side of the videotron. The view from this section will be about the same as what you can expect in 32.

Edit: Given that it is a night game (starting at 6pm) the sun will be setting. Section 32 is on the east side and may be facing the sun. Sunset in september is around 7:40pm but will be most likely be blocked long before that by the other side of the stadium.

Here is what the upper seats look like from the far side...

Here are a couple of shots of what the view from those seats might look like...

I can see now how my post came accross as snobbery, elite and looking down. That wasn't my intent.

When I was much younger we would ride in a Winnebago for hundreds of miles and sit in the seats BYU provided. If I could drive to the game, hanging out with Cougar fans might be more important to me.

My point is if I was going to spend that much money, then a $100 more bucks to sit in really good seats seems worth it. However, some people would much rather hang out with the Cougars in the Cougar section.

When I sound elitist or uppity on the board, I don't mean to be. I can only be uppity when I pretend I have PAC's kind of money.

Was hoping for specifics but I guess this will do.

        • Looks like we may have to outsource our Texas - What not to miss! advice. Sad, I thought we had this covered.

I'm with you. We try to give our kids the BYU fan student experience when they come with us. When it is just my wife and I we go for the good seats. (Recall the picture of my wife and I am the ND game.)

No, I missed it. Perhaps you can tell me where it is. I would like to see if you married way, way, way above your head like I have been told.

At least Uncle Ted is trying to redeem himself as he feverishly scours the internet for photos that other people have taken while attending games.

I'm starting to wonder if JeffLebowski has ever attended a single UT game. It appears that all he does is cycle around Utah and hang out at Spicy Corea.

Yeah, Babs, I am sure, is full of ideas.

Uncle Ted's guide to what to not miss in redneck-hippy town:

                          (1) All the bars, food and various entertainment on 6th street.

                          (2) All the bats hanging out under the bridge on congress ave.

                          (3) The redneck-hippy nude beach on Lake Travis.

                          (4) The restaurant that over looks the redneck-hippy nude beach. If you go there ask for the outside seating if you want the best views.

                          (to be continued)

If the game is at Necker Island, no wonder the tickets are expensive! Also, I booked my private jet to the wrong place.

I've always wanted to go swimming in that lake (is it a hot springs?) next to Zilker Park.

Thank you for this information, esp the tip to check out everything on 6th Street. Very useful.

On a related note, we were thinking about "walking around" and "looking at stuff" while we were there. Would you suggest we do that or is that being too ambitious for one weekend?
