My opinion is that I think either Jamal or Hine/Timo ends up on defense or Jamal Williams redshirts next year. I don't expect Williams to be a go to runningback his first year in college ball when he has never been a feature back in high school.

      Everyone's searchin' for answers.
I think between his concussions and ankle sprain he hasn't quite found his footing this year. Perhaps he will always be nicked up and never find it? I just am not going to write him off until next year.

      • Dammit! I just finished the game, and I'm pissed.

I have no idea why you think we would win with Anae. There is no reason to make that conclusion. Doman has issues but many of the issues we are seeing with Doman were there with Anae, namely that really good teams with really good players and really good coaches are able to neutralize BYU. I don't recall Anae ever leading BYU to beat too many teams that were more talented than BYU. IIRC, the whole reason people disliked Anae was because he did not find some magic potion of UNPREDICTABILITY that helped BYU when it played teams with better players.

I had some of that Schweddy Balls. The rum is helping take some of the edge off.

                  • I went to the game in a blue shirt and an OU hat, and I only got threatened with violence three times. I'm actually a little disappointed. Come on, Longhorns, where's the passion?

Really. Where did you sit? With the BYU fans or with the Longhorns? You would have fared much better in the BYU section...we have no beef with the Sooners. I guess it could have been worse...you could have been at an Raiders/49ers game and got shot.

To be honest I thought Texas really turned a corner and found their new identity in the second half. It's a bizarre identity but very Boise-esque.

Their o-line also ate their Wheaties at halftime, that's for sure.

                        • How good would BYU be if they had a Robert Turbin in the backfield? All this playaction with very little in the backfield isn't going to fool good defenses.

                          • This is what we are going to see in early season games as an independent. Three or 4 though games to beat the hell out of us to start the season. Its going to catch up with us by the 3rd or 4th game. BYU may not have the depth to withstand it. Lets get this Big-12 thing done. Then we can schedule a couple of early season patsies like everyone else.

We have played two games. One was a win, one was a loss. Both games were decided by a total of 2 points. BYU had a chance to win tonight at the end of the game but killed itself with 2 penalties. How are we getting beaten up?
                              Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

I think he is referring to injuries and depth. Two major contributors on defense missed the game tonight. Hopefully the injury report is short this week.
