The matter is not closed. The players have been penalized as individuals, but no action has yet been taken against the school. That is still a possibility.

Unfortunately I was listening to the end of the game on the radio. When T Pryor was getting interviewed after the game, they asked him specifically about the pledge he made to Tressel and asked if he was coming back. He didn't say a word and walked away. Can't remember the name of the guy that asked him but he said Pryor heard him, the mic was up to his lips and he said nothing. He answered all the other questions he was asked though.

Holly Rowe asked him the same thing on the TV broadcast and his reply wasn't much more than a grunt.

Pryor is the new Maurice Clarrett.. And I wished Tressell had the balls to sit him anyway.. But of course the Sugar Bowl and beating an SEC team is more important..

I just wish at some point the lid would get blown off this thing (talking all of college football) so we can get on with it already. I'm tired of waiting for the other shoe to drop on the corruption in college football.

Even if that means my own schools get exposed I want some damn transparency in this thing.

Also, a note to NCAA asshats everywhere: if you're going to not suspend teams or players than spare the American people these lies and just admit that you light your cubans with hundred dollar bills.

Can you blame Tressel? Of the guys suspended you have 4 TDs and 400 yards of offense and the potentially game saving INT. The other guy was protecting Pryor's ass at tackle. Those guys don't play and OSU loses.

Why? This doesn't make any sense to me. He was cleared to play. What's the point of sitting him?

I agree with this. They were eligible. It is the NCAA that is the joke in this situation.

Because Tressel just showed that he has a double standard for his star players... And that bothers me. If you remember Ray Small was a WR who was supposed to be faster and better then Ted Ginn. Did he ever get to show it?? No he was a disappointment his first year and then Tressel sat him out for a Bowl Game and Spring practice several games his senior year and was in and out of Tressel's dog house most of his career. Yet nothing ever came to light on why this happened. Only "unspecified team rules".. Yet TP, Boom and these guys break NCAA rules and get suspended for the next season and all he does is play them..

THAT bothers me, when he has played to role of role model, and that he is more then a coach. He is a mentor of young kids.. His decision just showed me that he is no different then the money grabbing coaches who care more about the win then anything else.. He treats his players different. And that is a recipe for disaster...

It sounds good in booster club meetings and interviews to say you are more than about just winning, you know what happens to the great character guys that don't win? In three years the majority of national college football fans are going to barley remember the Tat 5, but had Tressel lost another BCS game to another SEC team everyone would remember.

I also don't think favoring stars is a recipe for disaster. That is real life, the better salesman gets more days off and favors with the company expense account.

I'm with YO and HL, if it was a real issue to the NCAA they would have made the decision.

Save you breath, dabrockster. YOhio has no scruples, so most of what you are saying is probably going right over his head.
