I don't understand this either. They are getting a lot of EEs so not sure how that counts against the limit.

Their class is looking sweet, though. I read that they probably will lose what's his face to the Zeros, who are also having a good class. The next few weeks will be really interesting for SC, esp with the HS games coming up and al, the announcements

What specifically are you predicting? I guess I don't understand what you see happening.

Admittedly, I'm not too busted up about what might happen 10 years from now. I'm looking at next season and SC is going to have a pretty good team.

They can't get rid of dead weight, they are taking JCs and early enroll kids that Southern Cal normally wouldn't have wasted a stamp and a letter on just to have enough kids to practice in spring ball.

If they don't win some scholies back on the appeal Lane is going to have some explaining to do.

I will start really paying attention to recruiting after next Monday night. I need that to get me to Feb. That after that and the super bowl, I just pray for March Madness to come around.

When I say damage is done, Even with a top class, they still won't be bringing in the depth they normally do. They also lost Seantrell last year because of this. I don't put too much stock in missing the bowl this. You and i have some side conversations about that. When I say damage, it all has to do with recruits they have lost and the depth of the next couple of classes. They have be very selective and land those kids they go after.

Seantrel turned out to be pretty darn good too. He could have really helped SC this year.

True. And I suppose most of the mods are Cougars. I'd hate to upset any of them.

The times I watched Miami play this year I made sure to focus on him when he was in th game. The kid is a beast. No doubt in my mind he will be a top 5 pick when he comes out. He has incredible size and can move.

Who will SC lose off of this team? Havili, Bradford, Tyler (?), RoJo. Baxter and Woods being only freshman is pretty scary. Just don't let Baxter hit the bong at the bottom of the stairwell during camp. They also had a couple of other young wideouts that have a ton of talent that could be great along side Woods. Woods is scary.

I don't think talent is ever going to be the issue at Southern Cal. There are kids that are always going to want to go there and they are going to be loaded every year.

What I think is a real problem for the Trojans is that their DC does not grasp the spread offense at all, and they have at present no offensive identity. In the Oregon game they came out and ran Wildcat, then a reverse followed by a reverse-pass, then they lined up in a power running game, then they tried to go no huddle spread attack.

Lane needs to pick a style and stick to it. You can't be all things to all people, USC isn't a spread or wildcat team. Run a pro offense and win with better talent than everyone else. It seemed that every possession was coached by a different philosophy. You could sense the confusion among the team.

Woods is amazing and we haven't seen Kyle prater yet. He was rated even higher than woods but was injured in practice and didn't get to play. This next season they will be stacked.

I just remembered....despite the scholarship reductions, they also picked up several scholarships....some players transferred for various reasons. Don't they get to use those, as well?

Losing seantrel was a big deal, no doubt. But SC is about to steal away Christian westerman, the top lineman in the country that had verbaled to Texas and is now going to visit SC.

Watching the underarmour skills challenge and the first kid they interviewed was an OSU commit. Interviewer says "So, what did you do the night before you made you commitment... show everyone! You went to the tattoo parlor and got a black "O" on your arm"

                              I thought it was funny.

For those of you who are in the know, can there be any further action taken towards the program for the infractions that led to the suspensions? In other words, once suspensions are handed out, is the matter considered closed? Could the NCAA still look at dishing out sanctions?
