So Rich was listed at 4.65, 6'3" 218 for last year's draft, and the top two SS prospects for the upcoming draft are both in the 6'0-1" 205, 4.55 range. Rich compares pretty well. It still seems like his best bet would be to get up to 230+ and play OLB, but he's closer to ideal than I expected.

Here's a fun clip with Rich talking to Hans about his speed and other things. He says he ran a 4.52 and 4.53 back to back. I'm a little skeptical, as most of us usually are, about the exactness of 40 claims, but I think Rich can hang in the 4.6 range. Hans concludes: "People love you. You're the people's champ." True words Hans.

Incidentally Bronco rates Rich with two other safeties he's coached: Urlacher and Francisco. Damn we're gonna miss this guy.
