This was a soft pitch to assuage your last year's humiliation after I bested you in this little prediction contest, and you bit the hand that fed you.

Utah had 16 no. 1 AP votes in 2008 final poll, TCU has 3 in 2010. I rest my case.

I had assumed SDSU might find it's way in. Oh well. Nice to see BYU get a vote.

This speaks to the widely held notion that the 2008 national champ was weak. Naturally, other schools received first place votes. In fact, didn't 3 or 4 teams receive first place votes that year?

This year, only 2...TCU and Auburn. Much stiffer competition.

No smack involved, but whoever voted for a 7-6 team should have their voting rights revoked

Kind of like the guy that voted for FCS Champ, Eastern Washington.

yeah him too. On that stream of conscious, what place would EWU hit in the MWC? The WAC?

New Mexico would likely beat them. Unlike basketball, the difference between divisions is HUGE in FB. EWU is a good team, just up the road from me, but the size and speed difference is huge compared to most any FBS team.

Florida is now considered to have been weak? lol I wonder what Oklahoma fans would say abou that. How far the mighty Urban has fallen.

                          • As another brilliant BCS championship season ends, lets take the time to appreciate Bill Hancock and feel grateful that he can remind us just how stupid a playoff system would be. I totally forgot that university presidents know whats best for college football, thanks Bill. The BCS is really about the students. I hadn't looked at it that way Mr Hancock, it takes a sage such as yourself to point that out.

                            God bless the BCS
