                            I also hate when people arent talking about USC. Fortunately, that doesnt happen very often, but when it does....

                                I think Southern Cal falls under the "too big to fail" category. Similar to Oklahoma.
                                SMU did not.
                                Auburn...probably not. They picked the right year to cheat. Think their fate would be very different right now if they didn't have the Heisman Trophy favorite and an undefeated team playing in BCS title game.

                                    You didn't see USC under Paul Hackett, did you? Or OU under Blake?

                                    That said, USC winning 10-plus games in 7 straight years took the program to unforeseen heights. There's no run in program history close to the one USC had from 2002-2008, so if SC wins 7-9 games in 8 of the next 10 years, people will say it's "failing," when it's really not.
