PAC, you have the longest memory of anybody here. What is the highest ranked team BYU has ever played in a bowl?

Off the CUF, I'd probably say Iowa, which I think was around 7th. That was '91 Holiday Bowl.

That game was a tie. Kansas State was 7-8 range when BYU won the COT.

It's time to put and end to the mytholgy surrounding that flea bitten Cotton bowl game.

The COT was a great game. That BYU team, coupled with BYU's previous NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, basically altered the landscape of college football, leading to the BCS as we know it today.

Too true. While Boise State was the first to bust the BCS, BYU was the cause for the need to bust the BCS in the first place.

The term "BCS Buster" is passe, anyway. The rules are already in place to allow a mid-major to play in a BCS bowl. What exactly are they "busting?"

You could make a pretty cogent argument that BYU single-handedly brought about and then blew up the original Bowl Alliance, then giving spawn to the BCS. That NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP and 14-win team changed college football forever.

BSU wasn't the first to bust the BCS you f-wad.

I think he means against a legitimate team.

That's why Tina wanted one last year of BYU before BYU and the Vegas Bowl part ways. BYU saved that bowl and now the Vegas Bowl will die with the .mtn.
