It will all settle down and I hope you don't dislike myboynoah, especially because he was only telling a mildly funny joke and not looking to seriously offend. This game is no different than any Holy War in recent memory and is playing to script. The losing team doesn't have the win, but they always have the moral high ground. Both sides are the same in this respect.

I recall walking home from the stadium with my sons and thinking the way the games have ended in the modern edition of the BYU-Utah series is kind of spooky. I told one of my boys before the game, "I hope we win by a couple of touchdowns. My nerves can't take another game decided on the last play of the game." So much for that hope.Originally posted by YOhio View PostIt will all settle down and I hope you don't dislike myboynoah, especially because he was only telling a mildly funny joke and not looking to seriously offend. It was a classic, and either team would have been fortunate to escape with a win. This year it was our turn, I guess. (And it was about time!

It really is remarkable. When the 4th quarter ended I couldn't but think that it was going to tighten up. It make for a great rivalry.Originally posted by LA Ute View PostI recall walking home from the stadium with my sons and thinking the way the games end in the modern edition of the BYU-Utah series is kind of spooky. Besides, the question should have been, "is there a more sweet, loving, and kind fan base in the nation? One that would lose on saturday then cover your lesson on Sunday. One that would gracefully congratulate you and then help find the right caulk for the shower? One that is the same color and doesn't get all over the place but fills the crack just right?"
With that question, we all know the answer.

Yes Utah. They encircled the BYU fans to protect them as they entered the stadium. I have never seen that at LES, or Autzen.Originally posted by Coach McGuirk View Postnoted dame.

Congrats Utes on the win. Our satellite dish was on the fritz so I relied on junkie doing his best chick Hearn via text message. The end was a gut punch. The whole weekend was a gut punch...lakers in the last minute, byu on the final play, rojo dropping a wide open pass at the end of the SC game, the 8 year win streak over, the family stuff, and now I'm at a Costco in Vegas buying 2 new tires because we had a surprise. I'm taking out all my anger on Costco so they better hide all the free samples.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

You have me on that one. Anyone that would help a good man understand the right way to use caulk in the shower is good people in my book.Originally posted by Coach McGuirk View Postnoted dame.

how is it that a month or two ago, i was astounded by your insightful and (for the most part) objective candor regarding both teams from a football perspective? you've developed a byu-like persecution complex that, for any other poster, would have been ok because their proximity to either program and knowledge of the game wasn't half as good as yours. i guess it's your prerogative to ratchet up your inner top ute, but i would really prefer to see a breakdown of the game from you, and for you to admit that utah won because of a lucky bounce and a blown call. maybe in six months?Originally posted by Hot Lunch View PostIs there a fanbase that is more self righteous than BYU's? Sorry to come across like such a jerk or as some of you would say "typical ute fan" but I am amazed at all the Ute bashing since yesterday. It is getting old. There are good fans on both sides and then there are total asshats on BOTH SIDES. Some BYU fans here think pretty highly of themselves right now.Te Occidere Possunt Sed Te Edere Non Possunt Nefas Est.

I fixed that up for you. Hot Lunch has nothing to prove though. He is just reacting to you and a couple other recent adds from cougarboard. Fortunately you are a noisy minority.Originally posted by camleish View Postbut i would really prefer to see a breakdown of the game from you, and for you to admit that utah won because of alucky bouncea poorly executed punt by BYU and ablown callcontroversial call coupled with great individual play by Brandon Burton at the end of the game. maybe in six months?

I'd like to add my two cents. The loss was painful but I am excited about BYU's future. I'm beyond being cautiously optimistic about Heaps. I'm not convinced he's our next Heisman winner but at the very least he will be as good as Max.
Congrats to my Ute friends on your win. Well, except for Il Pad as he's sort of the Ute version of Bernard and he sucks.

As for the breakdown of the game, every time a go to type it out I read a stupid comment that pisses me off and it prevents me from doing so. I will give one. I have given bits and pieces of it. Maybe you missed those because there has been so much other talk."Take it to the Bank"
