The play in the first half was a ballsy call and the right call, not Anea's fault receivers can't catch.

3 minutes with a Freshman QB and 1 TO and Heaps has one of the easiest trips down the field for a 40 yard FG.

It was a great game, the game plans on both sides of the ball were solid.

Anea made Heaps pedestrian game look masterful. I'm excited for next year.

Yet again, the rivalry game goes down to the last play. Unbelievable.

The team that comes out of this game with a double-digit win is an unbelievable team. History has borne that out so many times. Utah is not a great team. BYU has made an unbelievable turnaround, and anyone who predicted Utah needing a FG block to win 5 weeks ago is flat-out high.

Bronco should be MWC coach of the year for what he's done the last 6 weeks.

They were civil because they got their asses outplayed at every level.

I thought it was interesting that Utah's coaches and assistants were protecting BYU's players as they went off the field.

I was so used to BYU winning these close BYU-Utah games lately that I really believed we were going to nail that FG.

Oh well. Congrats Ute fans. In spite of it all, that was a fun game to watch.

agreed. it took a nice route and good throw to dig us out of that hole.

It was 6-0 at that point. A FG would have given us a two possesion lead. You could tell, at that point, that points were going to be at a premium in this game. We had two great picks by LBs that gave us GREAT field possesion and we only came away with 3 points. Horrible play calling during this sequence.

And if we had converted (which we would have had Hoffman not dropped it) it would have been genius and we could have gone up 13-0.

I get the need to go up two scores, and with hindsight saying that we lost by one, of course it is an easy and obvious call to go back and bemoan. But I don't fault them one bit going for it and playing to win instead of just taking the points.

The game had a totally different feel. This rivalry is going to be a lot more civil in the future. Congrats to the Utes. BYU had every chance to take this game and couldn't do it. You made the most out of very few opportunities.

The Utes were all in Payne's face right after he missed. A Ute coach had to pull them away from Payne. Stay classy, Utes.

BYU was clearly the better team today. The Utes benefited from some very unlikely bounces, what must have been a revenge call on that obvious non-fumble, and some seriously castrated playcalling. It's a real shame.
