Too many people talking about bringing Bill McCartney back. Horrible idea.

After they hear "No" before they can even finish the question twice in a row who will they go after?Originally posted by shoganai View PostColorado's going to go after Mike Belotti. Chris Peterson is second on the list. I have good info on this. There is no clear No. 3.Dyslexics are teople poo...

I just do not see Bronco going anywhere. He gets to coach the way he wants to coach, bring religion into it all...why would he leave. With that said, if he decided he just wanted to coach defense and not be a head coach anymore, then I think he has a ton of options and would leave.

Nice cast. I looked at that fly. It looked tasty. However, you dropped your rod tip and the current took your line. The presentation has to look natural or you spook the fish. I suggest trying again from a different angle.Originally posted by UteStar View PostI just do not see Bronco going anywhere. Koetter leaves BSU - failOriginally posted by smokymountainrain View PostI think what I've learned from Koetter and Hawkins' experiences is that Peterson has always been the brains behind that operation.
Hawkins leaves BSU - fail
Peterson? Hard to say -- wasn't part of Koetter's staff.
Maybe it really is just the blue turf.

Or he could go to the lake down the road. Those fish are stupid.

I hope Ed Ogeron gets another shot, that guy is as entertaining as they come.Originally posted by Clark Addison View PostI think they need to start thinking of that #3 pretty soon."They're good. They've always been good" - David Shaw.
Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

ESPN's "short" list":
Candidates for the Colorado job
Mike Bellotti -- Says he'll return to coaching if it's the right fit, but he's "never even been to Boulder"Eric Bieniemy -- Former Buffaloes star is a recruiting wizard, has NFL ties
Troy Calhoun -- Legit head coaching chops, but he might not want the job
Al Golden -- Proved his rebuilding chops at Temple, and might come cheaper than the other names on this list
Dana Holgorsen -- OK State offensive coordinator has the Cowboys rolling
Mike Leach -- This is just speculation on our part, but if he's considering the Minnesota job, he'll definitely consider coming to Boulder
Gus Malzahn -- There might not be a hotter assistant coach in the country right now, but will he hold out for a better gig?
Bill McCartney -- Former coach "would definitely be interested in returning" if the school comes calling
Jim McElwain -- ESPN's Joe Schad checks in to say that Bama's offensive coordinator is getting mentioned as a possibility
Les Miles -- Colorado wants him, and he's reportedly tired of the SEC grind, but rebuilding the Buffs would be even more stressful
Dan Mullen -- Doing a great job rebuilding the Bulldogs, but it'd be tough to lure him away from the SEC
Kevin Sumlin -- Buffs are interested, and it might be time for him to go to a BCS conference school. Might best fit the bill in areas of head coaching experience, price
Brent Venables -- Sooners assistant's name comes up for jobs every year, and he'd be cheaper than most"They're good. They've always been good" - David Shaw.

I have it on good information that Coach Jaime Hill may be looking. Of course, he is most likely over qualified for a school like Colorado.Originally posted by Clark Addison View PostI think they need to start thinking of that #3 pretty soon."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

LSU fans can't stand him. At least the ones I've talked to.Originally posted by scottie View PostI wonder if/when Crowton will get another shot. It seems the consensus here is he's a good OC, not a good HC; maybe it's not a good HC when under the Honor Code.
Crowton has always been very good in his first year with a given team. After that, there is a marked and well-documented drop-off.
