Think if Bronco had fired Hill before the season. You have to think that BYU would at least have 1 more win, perhaps 2.

Sometimes they will even put up the score of the BYU game at the bottom.

I was electronically impaired most of yesterday. (It was actually nice for a change.) As for the TCU-Utah spread, I think even the geniuses in Las Vegas (and I do mean geniuses) had it at around a touchdown. There were a lot of stunned people watching that game yesterday. TCU was awesome.

Bronco has a history of neutralizing AF's offense, so that game is at least much different, and I have to think that USU would have gone much differently as well. It's a shame, but hopefully Bronco won't forget that lesson for a while.

For those who were at the game what was the crowd's reaction when they showed the Utah-TCU scores?

when it flashed 14-0 everyone cheered.

when it flashed 20-0 a few minutes later, lots of laughing/mocking.

after that, not much of a reaction.

I thought this was nice by the UNLV player and nice of Bronco to mention it:

There was a scary moment in the waning moments of BYU's 55-7 win over UNLV on Saturday afternoon when BYU backup running back David Foote, a sophomore from Pine View High in St. George, was motionless on the LaVell Edwards Stadium turf.
Foote took a big helmet-to-helmet hit from UNLV's Alex De Giacomo, a hit that knocked his helmet off. The Rebels' safety was flagged for the hit.
Coach Bronco Mendenhall told an interesting story about what transpired next as trainers attended to Foote:
"Their safety came up and really put a nice hit on David, and it ended up being helmet to helmet. I am not sure we call it a concussion yet, but he was foggy," Mendenhall said.
"To the UNLV's players' credit, man, he is a classy kid. He came up and said, 'Coach, I didn't mean to do that. I am just trying to play hard, and I hope he is OK.' And their other [players] were saying the same thing. I was really impressed with the character, and the type of young men that those kids were. Because they were down, and No. 22 [Alex De Giacomo] was the safety that hit him, was throwing his body around the entire game, making a ton of plays.
And he was trying to play hard. And that he would come up to me and make sure to apologize, it is pretty neat, and he's to be commended, and it speaks a lot to [UNLV coach] Bobby Hauck, and the type of young men [he has], and what he is teaching them. Because that doesn't happen very often."

I mentioned it right as it happened to the guy sitting next to me (I will let him reveal himself he does have a reputation to uphold) I said that the kid went over to Bronco and said something and Bronco gave him a pat on the butt almost like he was letting him no it was ok.

                            Classy gesture by both parties.

Sure, but c'mon--when is a butt pat NOT a classy gesture?

Get your tickets at the local Cheveron? I'm guessing $35 for sideline seats.
