The point is, we got in. It is just as big an accomplishment as BYU getting into the Big 12 would be, and if that does happen I am not too sure BYU won't be the 12th team invited. Big deal. TV revenue drives everything and Utah is in the 31st largest TV market in the USA. It's no shame that schools in bigger TV markets might have been higher on the PAC's list. If the only smack Cougar fans can come up with now is that Utah was not the PAC's first choice for expansion, then let them run that. It might make them feel better.Last edited by LA Ute; 10-21-2010, 05:29 PM.“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”

Can we establish this once and for all?Originally posted by creekster View PostYour consistent use of the first person stands out in your posts about Utah. Do you have an ownership interest in the team?
Are fans and fanbases to be considered a part of a program or NOT? How about donors to booster clubs?
Perhaps we should start a thread.

When you say "we" do you mean you and the other posters on this board, or do you mean you and the University of Utah athletic program? I'm just seeking clarification here before I answer the question. TIA.Originally posted by Portland Ute View PostCan we establish this once and for all?

I didn't miss anything. I find your mastery of elementary mathematics equally laughable. You do understand what the "middle half" means, right?Originally posted by Top Ute View PostYou missed the "more than" before my half. More than half of FBS/1-A does not have superior credentials than Florida pre-Spurrier. It's laughable that you'd think that.

I say anyone and everyone.
Let's put it to a vote!

I am a big tent guy too. To me "we" includes everyone who posts on CUF, although i am a little hesitant to include anyone who uses the color "dark orchid" for his posts here.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostWhen you say "we" do you mean you and the other posters on this board, or do you mean you and the University of Utah athletic program? See, SU. It's not fun when scottie aims his provocative questioning at something you hold near to your heart.Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostThis kind of speculation is soooo obnoxious. Would Urban Meyer have done wihat he did in 2004 absent Kyle? Would Urban Meyer be at Florida without Kyle? Would Urban Meyer now be fired from Floriday absent Tebow?
One thing we do KNOW. Is that Kyle has surpassed Urban's accomplishments at Utah.
All this complete horse shit about Kyle being a "leautenant". Our only experience with him as a head coach is that his accoplishements are second to none.

ESPN's Prestige RankingsOriginally posted by Babs View PostI didn't miss anything. I find your mastery of elementary mathematics equally laughable. You do understand what the "middle half" means, right?
1950s-60s: Florida 33rd/119
1970s: Florida T-35th
1980s: Florida 27th
If being in the top 30 percent is mediocre, I guess you have a team in Florida. Me, I just call it a good, decent, not great program. Hardly mediocre. Definitely above average. The only thing laughable here is your knowledge of college football.

You're using ESPN's prestige rankings to make your argument?
You do know that during the 70's when the Gators were 35th in your poll they barely had .500 record (58-53-3) and only 6 seasons with winning records?
Also, the Gators have only been playing in the SEC for about 80 years. How many conference championships have they won? Oh great fount of football knowledge could you please let us know how many SEC championships they have won in that span and what year they won their first? TIA!"Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

Utah was plan A like Kyle was offered by Tennessee.
These are myths.
But still, things came up roses for Utah, a school with a fanbase that not only gave its left nut, but the right one as well.Last edited by myboynoah; 10-22-2010, 07:31 AM.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."
