If that makes you feel better to think that Utah was in all along, then good for you. But it's delusional.

If Utah was the school the PAC-10 wanted all along, then why the hell didn't they announce the addition of Colorado and Utah on the same day?

The answer is obvious: because they were holding out for Texas and other schools that they preferred to Utah.

Otherwise, why wouldn't they just have announced the addition of Colorado and Utah on the same day?

Because more than half of 1-A/FBS has better credentials?

If you want to say it all started with Jim Delaney and Big 10 expansion instead of Larry Scott trying to poach Texas and friends then that just makes the unlikely string of events ending in Utah to PAC-10 even luckier.

Hey, just go with it -- you got lucky -- mad props to you and especially to Portland Ute for your school getting into an awesome conference.
I'll admit it-Utah got lucky. But I won't apologize for it.

I'm not going to sleep well until Bronco turns "the football team formerly known as the BYU Cougars" back into an approximation of its former self.

They announced Colorado because that was the Pac-10's shot over the bow that Baylor was DOA, (and to a lesser degree, that Tech was a longshot and Oklahoma State was being tolerated only because of its ties to Oklahoma). The Pac-10, not for one instant, would've taken Baylor as a compromise to getting Texas and Texas A&M. Hence, the Colorado invite.

I feel the same about the Running Utes.

I'm right and I'd argue with you, but I, frankly, couldn't care less to argue with someone about this. Call it luck, call it what you want.

Why argue when the future looks like this? :

                  Utah-USC-UCLA-UA-ASU-CU

14+ million per year with equal revenue sharing from TV MONEY ALONE.

AQ access to BCS bowls and BCS money.

                  BCS recruiting tag

Major recruiting ties to the West Coast and So-Cal.

Possible PAC12 championship game at altitude in the weather at RES in December.

You're probably right, but I do hate your guts.

You do not deny that Utah hustled to qualify for their good luck. Do you?

And if you use the word "delusional" one more time to describe someone who disagrees with you, I'm going to come up there and ... do something. I'll get back to you on exactly what that will be.

You shouldn't even feel that Utah got lucky. We clearly earned our spot in the discussion, and we've been the logical end-game result in the national media for years.

Feel free to substitute "wrong" for delusional -- I figure why use a 1-syllable word when I can substitute a more insulting 4-syllable word? You're a lawyer, right?

Sure, Utah has had 2 incredible football seasons in recent years and that helped create the good luck. I really enjoyed your Sugar Bowl win over Saban and Alabama. I am not a hater.

                            PAC invites Colorado. Colorado accepts.
PAC invites Texas, Oklahoma, A&M, Oklahoma State, and Texas Tech, rounding out the 16-team conference. Those schools decline.
                            PAC invites Utah. Utah accepts.

Utah was absolutely in. The contracts were being worked out months prior to the infamous date in June when they held the presser in R-E Stadium.

If you're in the middle 50%, that is, by definition, mediocre.

Your consistent use of the first person stands out in your posts about Utah. Do you have an ownership interest in the team?
