Wrubell just tweeted that Chambers will not participate with the team for the rest of the season.

He'll get about as many passes thrown his way off the team as he did when he was on the team.I'm like LeBron James.

I like OC and have normally stood up for him. I think the expectations for his performance were largely artificial (though he did help create them).
That said - the fact about OC is that he was never fast and does little to address BYU's core problem at WR of having guys who simply don't get open enough. No DB he ever faced had any difficulty covering him.
His football virtue was that he is fearless, bigger for a WR and is able to make tough plays in traffic and hang on to the ball (usually) even when he's getting pummeled. He's also effective at shaking and fighting his way to an extra 3-4 yards after contact.
The thing that really sucks now is that Apo isn't free to step into the rotation at this point.Ute-ī sunt fīmī differtī

Mike Reed hated BYU and Bronco by the time he left. I think over time he'll look back on his time at BYU with fondness, but when he left he didn't have good things to say.Originally posted by Goatnapper'96 View PostI doubt it ever will. I think the atmosphere is the biggest reason BYU continues to lose the Michael Lloyds and the Oneil Chambers. Here is hoping that Jordan Johnson and Cody Hoffman can make it! Mike Reed did, but I also think the suckitude can lead to that atmosphere being even more untolerable."To the man who only has a hammer, everything he encounters begins to look like a nail."

This Chambers' saga seems so strange to me. I haven't heard anything about him skipping practice or violating the HC. It's just that he's a jerk. It takes a unique kind of self-destructive streak to risk an entire college career just so he can mouth off.

Margin was a funny guy, I was sad to hear him talk trash about Provo. I wonder if it has anything to do with his facebook post?"To the man who only has a hammer, everything he encounters begins to look like a nail."

I am pretty sure there will be countless inuendo's about his personal life and it not being in compliance with BYU standards. Especially if he mouths off negatively about BYU.Originally posted by YOhio View PostThis Chambers' saga seems so strange to me. I am assuming he deserved to get booted. I do think Bronco is not a vindictive person. He probably gave him every chance in the environment that is BYU.

I wonder if chambers had secret financial troubles that were affecting his focus while returning kickoffs. Someone should do a search of public filings to verify.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.
