Yeah cheering my guts out for BYU my whole life and following the team obsessively clearly was because I don't care about BYU. I didn't support the worst decision in our coaches career and the mess its made, I'll give you that.Originally posted by DU Ute View PostKind of like how you don't even care about BYU.

He also needs someone to make important decisions like going for 2, when its appropriate to go for an insides kick, or replacing a starting QB.Originally posted by Green Monstah View PostI hate this thread.
BM turned around a dying program in a year and a half. He's a good leader and he says what the powers that be want a BYU HC to say.
Does he need to hire a playcaller? Absolutely.

There are definitely some ball/clock management issues late in the game that need to be addressed.Originally posted by ewth8tr View PostHe also needs someone to make important decisions like going for 2, when its appropriate to go for an insides kick, or replacing a starting QB.

Ha, I doubt Doman is in line now.Originally posted by Flystripper View PostNo Bronco should not be fired because the likely replacement is the worst offensive coordinator in BYU history.
The problem with firing Bronco is there are so few option available to replace him. I don't keep up with the coaching scene, but I figure there are very, very few LDS coaches out there with D1 experience. Maybe church leadership will finally wake up and call Kyle Witt as the coach."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

The coaching pool is so shallow for Byu that Doman is a likely candidate.Originally posted by Moliere View PostHa, I doubt Doman is in line now.

, but here goes.
Until the BOT defines the head coach's job at BYU to be putting the best "FB program" on the field he can, proven coaches will not take the job and I doubt any LDS coach out there would do any better.
That doesn't mean they would be giving him free reigns to cheat or cut corners.
It means we don't have to try to pretend we are in the league with Stanford academically and it means we don't have to think people will not realize how morally superior we are if some kids 18-26 do some things contrary to our beliefs and it is publicized.

I'm a big Mike Leach fan. And BYU and Mike Leach are probably not a good fit. But I think Mike Leach could win big at BYU. Having said that, I doubt the BOT would ever offer Leach the job and its questionable whether Leach would even accept. But if it ever happened, it would be a sign that the BOT was serious about improving BYU football.“Not the victory but the action. Not the goal but the game. In the deed the glory.”

Missing on KW may likely be the blunder that was the death sentence for BYU football as we know it."It's true that everything happens for a reason. Just remember that sometimes that reason is that you did something really, really, stupid."
