Sorry, I missed all that "proof." I was too busy wading through all the posts that chronicled your meltdown over this, and rolling my eyes at how you had to resort to "you're an idiot that doesn't know shit" and "your worthless education" put-downs. When that's your counter-argument, you're not going to get a whole lot out of me.

FTR, I really wasn't trolling, despite your assertion. I stand by my posts and my reasoning. It's too bad only statman could come up with a reasoned response (and I both agree and disagree with him on various points). If you think that's trolling, you might want to thicken up that skin a little. Disagreement isn't trolling, despite what your addled brain might tell you.

Look, at the end of the day, I think everyone agrees that it's a really, really big shame about a season-ending injury to a really good player. I don't want to minimize that. If the Nevada kid is really saying those things about not being sorry, then that's inexcusable.

Let's make it easy for you:

Clipping is a block against an opponent occurring when
the force of the initial contact is from behind and at or below the waist
(Exception: Against the ball carrier) (Rule 9-1-2-d).
      b. The position of the blocker’s head or feet does not necessarily indicate
      the point of initial contact."

Dude, not even you agree with you. Saturday it was a penalty but not dirty. Today it wasn't a penalty and it wasn't dirty. That seems like trolling to me.

Erickson said commissioner Karl Benson and director of officials Jim Blackwood were reviewing tape of the incident Monday afternoon and would have a decision on whether they will sanction Bender either later today or early Tuesday morning.
"They are definitely aware of it," Erickson said.
The play in question happened in the second quarter of BYU's 27-13 loss to Nevada, a member of the WAC.
Bender hit Fuga below the waist and from the side or back.
BYU announced Monday morning that an MRI on Fuga on Sunday showed a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and lateral collateral ligament (LCL) and will require season-ending surgery.
Coach Bronco Mendenhall said the hit was "not a positive football play" after the game on Saturday. Bender did not draw a penalty for the hit. Mendenhall said he asked five different officials about it, but all five said they didn't see it.

As Fuga lay on the ground writhing in pain, several Nevada players egged on the crowd as it lustily booed the play and the lack of a flag from officials.
Again, severe enough for conference officials to review it, but definitely not a penalty.

              • Take three: The WAC is reviewing the play. Which means that it was questionable at best, and warrants some sort of review.

I think this picture shows best where the contact is coming from:

If the contact is coming from the front, fine, it's a chop block. Given that Fuga is at least a step ahead of him, I think it is clear that the block is not coming from the front.

Which is why he went low in my opinion. If he goes high he blows Fuga up but gets an obvious flag. Fuga also gets up and plays on.

Not that it counts for much coming from me, but I think offensive linemen who cut block, especially from behind are the biggest bunch of pussies that exist on the planet. There is nothing passionate or manly about cutting a guy from behind at the knees. Only a bitch who can't beat a guy head up goes cheap like that coming at a guys knees from behind. So I guess if Bender really has been playing like a pussy all year long, maybe Fuga should have known that he needed to kick that bitch in her vagina and let her know where she stands from the get go.

I can't tell where you stand on this issue. So are you for or against cut blocking?

As a former DE with two bad knees, um, against.

And that right there is why I get so angry about this. I've had 9 knee surgeries. The first one that started all the problems was from a blind cut block.

You're right. On Saturday, I thought it was a low block in the back. (I was watching on the Mtn, after all; it's hard to see anything clearly). A penalty. The pictures today make it clear (to me) that the head was in front.

If the blocker was trying to hurt the byu defender, then it was dirty. But it's hard to judge intent. I thought he looked like he was hustling. Just my opinion; and I understand other people thought he was out for ACL.

I still stand by my posts.

I regret if you (CJF) thought I was trolling.
