Coming from an accountant, this hurts more than words can say. Now I feel like reading FAS 97 just out of spite.

Honestly stats intrigue me and I appreciate your posts like that one. I also appreciate the time you take to put them together as I know it does take time to pull the data, run the formulas, create the pivot table or chart, format it, and post it.
I assume the reason people didn't respond is that most people assumed that a higher completion % and yards per attempt led to more wins. I bet no one sat there and thought "Gosh, I had no idea receivers dropping the ball and throwing 2 yard screen passes didn't result in wins."
An FTR, the title to FAS 97 is "Accounting and Reporting by Insurance Enterprises for Certain Long-Duration Contracts and for Realized Gains and Losses from the Sale of Investments." Looks like you are in for an interesting read."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

The problem is that they give the ending away early on.Originally posted by Eddie Jones View PostAn FTR, the title to FAS 97 is "Accounting and Reporting by Insurance Enterprises for Certain Long-Duration Contracts and for Realized Gains and Losses from the Sale of Investments." Utah doesn't interest me. You should have figured that out by now given my zero career posts on ufn.net and virtually zero on Utah sports threads on CUF.Originally posted by Top Ute View PostI like them. I only wish you'd find more hidden statistical gems/dirt on Utah.

I know that, but wanted to let you know the standing invite to provide such data still stands.Originally posted by Indy Coug View PostUtah doesn't interest me. You should have figured that out by now given my zero career posts on ufn.net and virtually zero on Utah sports threads on CUF.

I quite enjoy the perception that you're a Crowtonite. I don't know why, but it makes me laugh watching people foam at the mouth when they think you're defending him. I'll continue to perpetuate that belief whenever possible simply for my own entertainment value.Originally posted by Indy Coug View PostWhat if I chime in when some tin-foil hat thinks it was posted to defend Crowton?A man who views the world the same at fifty as he did at twenty has wasted thirty years of his life. - Mohammad Ali

Heaps hasn't been playing great, but, IMO, one of the biggest reasons for these pathetic numbers is the lack of playmakers on BYU's offense.Originally posted by Indy Coug View PostBump
Watching the other games this Saturday, it became apparent that Heaps isn't throwing the ball much different than any of the other college QBs who are putting up excellent passer ratings, it's just that most teams have guys who make plays - they make tough catches and they turn short throws into big plays and TDs.I'm like LeBron James.

I agree to an extent, but not that large of an extent.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostHeaps hasn't been playing great, but, IMO, one of the biggest reasons for these pathetic numbers is the lack of playmakers on BYU's offense.
