I was originally excited to be in the Big 12 Conference, but today I am not.
By the way, I am guessing that this stunt will officially slam the door on Tech being involved with any super conference.
I wonder whether this is going to hurt Tech or the Big 12 from an advertising perspective? I also wonder if this might accelerate the B1G and SEC in shedding their existing skins to form a Super Special Separate League sooner than anticipated? Like before 2030?

My hope and prayer is that Ken Paxton takes the side of Tech in this fight, which might help him get votes from Tech fans (they’d vote for him anyway) but pull votes away from him by all other college football fans. aTm already hate Tech and UT doesn’t even really acknowledge Techs existence. Anyone watch the Texas Tech good old boys 22-minute roundtable video explaining why they are super justified in playing someone who bet 40 times on his own team? I did not watch it, but it went over like a pregnant pole vaulter and is more fuel to the fire. Tech leadership is like a bunch of junior high kids. I do not know what they are thinking. Like Josh Pate said, this image is all everyone needed to see before they promptly ignored the video and reinforced their prior opinion:
